Cookie Policy

What cookies we set, why, and how to change your mind.

Last updated: May 10, 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. We use them for two reasons only: keeping you signed in, and learning which pages get used so we can fix the slow ones. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. Cookies FillWizard sets

Strictly necessary: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a locale cookie (fillwizard-locale) to remember your language, and a CSRF cookie to protect form submissions. These cannot be turned off because the site does not work without them.

Consent record: a small first-party cookie (fw-consent) records your cookie choices for six months so we don't show the banner every visit.

Analytics (off by default): if you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_* cookies to count visits and measure page performance. We never link this to your identity profile data.

3. Third parties

Google Analytics 4 is our only third-party tracker, and it only runs after you opt in. Read Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We use Consent Mode v2 with default-deny, so no analytics or advertising cookies are set until you say yes.

4. Your choices

You can accept all, reject all, or pick categories from the cookie banner shown on your first visit. To change your mind later, click 'Cookie settings' in the footer. Rejecting analytics never blocks you from using the product.

5. How long cookies last

The session cookie expires when you sign out or after 14 days of inactivity. The locale and consent cookies last six months. Analytics cookies last up to two years per Google's settings; you can clear them any time from your browser.
